Samuel Brauer, Ph.D. has been with Nanobiz since its inception. He has worked on Nanobiz projects in areas such as coatings, filtration, photovoltaics, fuel cells, batteries and personal care. He has an extensive background in market research and an ability to estimate market sizes in widely diverse industries. This broad knowledge base becomes very important and useful when a cross-disciplinary approach is required to solve complicated problems.
Samuel received his doctorate in Bioinorganic Chemistry involving Chromium Carcinogenesis from Dartmouth in 1990 and did a postdoctoral stint on protein structure at UC Davis.
He is also the founder of Nanotech Plus, LLC an alliance of consultants focused on the business of nanotechnology offering analysis to major corporations, small materials companies, venture and angel investors, and other financial institutions. Established in 2004, the firms’ projects ranged from evaluating patent portfolios to estimating markets for novel therapeutics. Based on our findings, corporations have been able to develop new research directions in energy, filtration, and pharmaceuticals.
Prior to Nanotech Plus, he was with the Business Communications Company for 7 years, leading market research on a broad range of advanced materials topics including polymer nanocomposites, carbon nanotubes, advanced polymer composites, DNA micro arrays and in vitro toxicology.

Mr. Robert Stathopulos heads Nanobiz's Medical Device Practice, which focuses on delivering strategic markets, technology paths, product development, manufacturing process, cross-border market channels, and supply chain solutions to global medical device manufacturers and suppliers.
He served as Director of Research & Development and Director of Business Development for the $50 million surgical products division of Becton Dickinson, Director of Manufacturing Development for the $250 million medical device division of American Cyanamid, and Director of Product Development for the $125 million surgical products subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. He was responsible for the design, development and manufacture of hypodermic products, blood-collection products, respiratory care products, surgical sutures and surgical instruments.
Some of his major accomplishments have included leading a Needle Injection research program to develop the next generation BD hypodermic needle, leading the Development and Implementation of a new Electrochemical treatment process to sharpen BD blood-collection needles, and developing a global sourcing strategy for Davis & Geck suture needles.
Bob also audited and recommended corrective action for product development practices at Baxter Healthcare, conducted a technology assessment for C.R. Bard, and investigated and proposed automation options for Silliker Laboratories' pathogen food testing processes.
As the founder and principal of Product Development Technology Inc., Bob worked as an advisor for medical device and combination product start-ups in the design, development and manufacture of novel medical devices. He also served as interim head of product development, manufacturing operations and quality assurance/regulatory affairs for several of these ventures.
While working with a pioneer in safety needle and syringe design, he was interviewed by San Francisco Chronicle staff writer William Carlsen, and 60 Minutes journalist Mike Wallace.
Bob secured a Masters of Science (Bio-Engineering) from Polytechnic Institute of NY and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from City College of CUNY.

Abubakarr Kamara Esq. is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of Sierra Leone currently attached to the Law Firm of Tejan-Jalloh & FM Dabor at 2nd Floor, Roxy Building, 28 Walpole Street, Freetown, Sierra Leone. He enjoys 7 years of practice as a Barrister and Solicitor and is currently the Deputy General Secretary of the Sierra Leone Bar Association.
Mr. Kamara has worked for both the private and public sectors in various capacities which includes but not limited to Credit Analyst, Head of Risk Asset Management, Legal Adviser and he is currently serving as the Legal Adviser and Deputy Company Secretary of Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority (SLPHA). He is also a Member of the Board of Directors of the National Youth Commission, where he mostly provide legal advice to his colleague board members for the smooth implementation of the mandate of the board.
Mr. Kamara has provided legal opinion and advise to the Management of Vista Bank (SL) Limited on company law, banking law and industrial matters. He has and is currently advising the Management of the Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority on industrial matters, ocean governance, seaport management, analysing and interpreting the concession agreement for the regulation of the concessionaires, corporate law and governance, international maritime conventions and protocols and the management of The Authority.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree (2008) and a Bachelor of laws (LL. B Hons.) degree (2015) from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone respectively, an Utter Barrister-at-Law (BL) (2017) from the Council of Legal Education, Sierra Leone Law School and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) (2023) from the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), University of Sierra Leone.
